This policy explains what 6X Communications ("6X", "we", "us") collects across our products — wholesale voice & SMS routing, 6X Softswitch, 6X Telecom Academy (including 6X Spark), 6X Jobs, and the business call/chat widget — and how we use it.
Account information. Name, email, phone number, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text) when you create a wholesale account, sign up for Academy, or apply to become a creator, instructor, or reseller.
Telecom usage data. Call detail records (CDRs) and SMS delivery records for traffic that passes through our routing engine — this is required to bill accurately and to investigate fraud or quality issues, and is retained only as long as needed for billing, support, and any legal retention requirements that apply to telecom carriers.
Content you create. Lessons, comments, voice replies, and course progress on Academy/6X Spark are stored on our servers so they display correctly to other users and persist across your devices — see our note on this: nothing here is stored only in your browser.
Payment information. Wallet top-ups and course/subscription purchases are processed by Flutterwave, our payment processor — we do not store your full card number ourselves.
Usage & device data. Standard web log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the service running reliably.
We do not sell your personal data. Telecom usage data (CDRs) is shared only with underlying carriers and vendors as strictly necessary to route your calls/messages, and with payment processors as necessary to process a transaction.
We use cookies for session authentication (staying logged in) and, where you've consented, basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features (staying signed in) won't work without them.
Account data is retained while your account is active. Telecom usage records are retained per standard industry billing/compliance practice. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see below) — some records may be retained longer where required by law (e.g. billing records, fraud investigation records).
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. Contact privacy@6xcom.com for any of these requests.
Our products are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice where practical.
